Objective of the Course :
 
1. To train the manpower as a Social work research the needs of society.
2. To develop consciousness for understanding scientific process of Social work research.
3. To create healthy atmosphere among the learner for socio-psycho aspects of human behavior.
4. To develop capacity of learner for effective intervention in various problematic situation.
5. To introduce various areas of Social work research and provide brief insight to learner.
6. To develop the ability as a Social work research and provide orientation to learner about self.
7. Develop and understanding of the approaches of help and self help available in own Social work research cultural system.
8. Develop skills of application to real life situations.

Basically this course is designed for those candidates who have interest in Social work research field. Candidate should be passed minimum bachelor in appropriate stream as approved by NMU.
Intake : Admission capacity of this course will be 60 for each batch (Maximum).

Minimum Staff :
 
Staff pattern for this PG DIPLOMA IN ADVANCE TRENDS OF SOCIAL WORK RESERCH will not be appointed separately, but visiting and guest lecturer will be arranged as per requirement. One course co-ordinator will be appointed from the regular faculty of the college for the over all co-ordination of the course. Non -teaching work load of this course will managed by the regular non- teaching staff of the college.
 
Mode of Examination :
 
A) Theory Paper (2x100) = 200 marks
B) Research Work (Project) = 75 marks
C) Viva Voce = 25 marks
Total = 300 marks
 
Written Examination :
 
There will be two theory papers of 100 marks each paper during the course. Written examination for each paper will be conducted by the college by the end of the every course period.
 
Heads of the Passing :
 
The following shall be separate heads of the passing
A) Written theory papers – 40 marks (each paper)
B) Research Work (Project) – 50 marks (project 38 + Viva-Voce 12 Mark)

Failure in any one of the above heads shall be considered failure at the PG DIPLOMA IN ADVANCE TRENDS IN SOCIAL WORK RESERCH course
 
Assessment of Course :-
 
Assessment of the students should be done by examination and observation of overall performance in Social work Research Project and allotted assignment during the course period. Written examination will be conducted after the end of each course which will be tentatively during the month of July for every batch. Paper setting, assessment and other related work will be done by the nominated committee. The examination will be conducted on the syllabus of the each theory paper for 60 marks written exam and remaining 40 marks will be for the internal assessment of the candidate for each paper. The CGPA system will be followed for the assessment as per the KBC,NMU guidelines.
 
Research Work Assessment : -
 
After the completion of theory paper, all students Research work for the practical learning through observation, dialogue and participation. This Research work will be for 120 days of working days continually ( total 120 days ). Assessment of this Research work will be done by the Research work guide as well as faculty guide from the college.
Research work evaluation shall be based on , 120 days research work (Project) and Vive- Voce Research.

Submission of Research work Project Report related to Social work Research Project one copy KBC,NMU and one copy college and one copy students.
 
Research Project Guidelines –
 
Every faculty shall devote every working week for research guidance to be given to the students assigned to him/her. The research project shall carry 100 Mark and shall have Internal Assessment.

The PG Diploma in Advance Trends in social work research students admitted to the admitted year shall select a research project topic in the beginning of the admitted year for project work in consultation with the research guide. Sample for the project report should be selected as per the requirement of research project topic where the sampling method is used. Minimum Sample size are excepted. Every student shall submit three typed and well bound copies of such project report 15 day before the commencement of the month of examination. The project report shall carry a total of 100 Marks and shall be treated as a separate head of passing. A candidate must obtain minimum 50 Marks for passing under this head. The project report at PG Diploma in Advance Trends in social work research Examination should be assessed Internal by concerned examiner appointed by the collage A candidate failing at this head shall submit a research report as prescribed by the university within a period of month 15 May from the date of the results and shall pay applicable fees along with examination form.
 
PG Diploma in Advanced Trends in social work research -
 
1. The topic of research project must be related to the area of social work Research.
2. The candidate must follow the scientific process of methods of social work research project.
3. The report submitted to the university must be duly signed by the principal and concerned research guide and shall also be certified by the guide as to originality of the short term Social Work research project work.
4. The content of the report shall not cause any dispute or defamation to any person or the institution.
5. Any malpractice including any attempt at plagiarism exposed even a later stage may inviter withdrawal of the degree of such a candidate.
